Rhema Electric LLC is a full-service electrical contractor with a strong background in Commercial New Construction and Remodels.

Mark Spencer our Service Manager leads a team of electricians trained to exceed expectations. From service calls to small remodel our service department will offer the extra effort to ensure that your electrical needs are handled in a cost-effective efficient manner.


On the residential side, we have a crew of 4-6 men. We have done wiring from small track homes up to multi-million dollar custom homes with all the bells and whistles. All our projects are executed with the same enthusiasm and concern for our customers that have built our reputation and many relationships throughout the State.


Our Job Site Foremen has worked on projects from residential repair to new commercial construction and successfully supervised jobs in excess of one million dollars. His commitment to excellence and ability to communicate and understand the customers’ needs set him apart. He has a proven track record of getting the job done on time, correctly and on budget. Mike’s extensive knowledge of all aspects of electrical contracting work makes him one of our most exceptional resources.

Each journeyman drives his service truck home so he can be dispatched directly to the job in an emergency situation.

Randy Merritt (President)

Randy has worked hard to build the kind of company he would like to work for, a place where members are treated like family and customers are valued over profits. Some of our greatest accomplishments are the families, homes and communities our employees have built. Rhema Electric has also worked very hard to build off past successes and create steady growth that has allowed us to remain debt free. Rhema Electric successfully expanded to the State of Hawaii and has grown to accomplish large projects on both sides of the pacific, all the while building relationships with customers and growing our team as a family.

Mark Spencer (Project Manager)

Mark has been with Rhema for nearly 8 years and is extremely proud of his work on the Tulalip Ball Fields and Global Machine Works projects. Mark has extremely high standards for his work and believes that you should always build something as if it were for your own house. Mark feels that one of his biggest accomplishments is that he raised his kids to be honest, hard workers. 

Kyle Doran (Project Manager)

“I’m Kyle Doran, I have been a Project Manager at Rhema for 3 years. Quality and Thoroughness are the two biggest things I value when it comes to the work I do here at Rhema. In my spare time I enjoy coaching basketball at Mount Vernon High School, golfing and kayaking”

Dave Buben (Project Manager)

Dave has been involved in the electrical trade for over 30 years. He prides himself as a hard worker, always being a positive spirit and being helpful to others around him. In his spare time Dave is a backyard mechanic and loves to wrench on his hot rods. On Sunday mornings you can find Dave sipping on a cup of coffee while throwing a ball for his dog!

Steve Vanderwerf (Estimator)

Steve has been in the electrical field for the past 21 years starting out as a CAD operator in the Design-Build department. After his move to Mount Vernon in 2000 he started working as a project engineer while being trained as a project manager. After a few years of working as a project engineer and a change of employment Steve found his way into estimating and has been there ever since.

Christina has been an Administrative Assistant for Rhema for 2 years now, but has been in Admin/Clerical work for the past 13 years. She values herself as a very kind, hard working and helpful person. Family is very important to Christina, she loves going fun vacations with her daughter. Hawaii is one of their favorite places to visit!
